Old Memories Seldom Fade

My process

So first I decide on a character lets say I'm looking for Kiku from Samurai 7 I go on google do an image search for Kiku and find as many pictures I can download them then I check as many wikis as possible and find pictures on there and the reason for this is I need to know which pictures I SHOULDN'T use for the piece. So no one can accuse me of tracing Then after that process I literally rewatch the animes and look for as many unique cool pictures as possible then depending on how many times that character appears I'll grab 10-15 shots of the character multiple view points from different seasons of the show after I have that I pull up the pictures compare contrast and study them decide on what picture I want then I start to draw it. I am not tracing at all! I'm taking bits and pieces from each image and making them into one to give it thee most unique badass look as possible

But remember.
The big reason why I'm rewatching animes is because I'm seeking out thee most memorable,happy, inspiring, badass moments the show gave the viewer. I've even gone to forums and read through pages and pages of seeking out actual opinions I've asked many people on twitter and many characters are inspired by what people have told me. Ok so along the way of my piece I came up with an idea to separate myself from every other character collage piece ever created. As you see in the picture it starts with Moltar (the beginning of Toonami) and ends with TOM 5 so essentially every character that aired during the course of that hosts lifespan will be directly across the host. For example: Outlaw Star,DBZ, Blue Submarine No. 6, Reboot, Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, and so many more all aired during TOM 2's life span so those shows will be placed directly across TOM 2. Now don't say it I know what you're thinking "Alec many shows aired during many different TOM's" well after much researching and video watching I learned that most shows lasted only through 2 TOM eras and most characters I drew have 2-3 characters.So it works itself out BUT DBZ aired from Moltar all the way to TOM 4 so a simple way around that is put one character at MOLTAR one at TOM 4. But what I'm truly trying to achieve with this idea... Is at first glance make it seem like a normal character collage piece but at a second glance you'll notice it's a history piece and you'll be super shocked and amazed and hopefully make someone fill up with happy memories and love
